Missing You
An oil painting about the fragility of this human existence.
(40cm x 19cm)

The fact that death is inevitable is no consolation to those left behind, it feels as though a hole has been ripped out of your heart and in a sense it has. They were a part of you and now it feel as though that part has gone, leaving you feeling nothing but the emptiness. Although the body maybe gone, the essence of the person is not for that lives on and that is the part which filled your heart in the first place, so they needn't be gone, you need to remember and get in-touch with their essence, which can then once again live in your heart.

I am not there
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the Diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle Autumn rain
when you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quite birds in circled flight
I am the soft start that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there ,I did not die
